“Cat is one of the best teachers and mentors I have ever worked with! She cares deeply for her students and ensures they feel supported and safe to explore the unknown and flex their creativity. No matter the style of dance or class Cat approaches all teaching with the utmost care and develops innovative forms of teaching and adapts to her students needs. When choreographing she often makes that a collaborative process between her and the dancers. This creates a wonderful sense of trust and builds confident young dancers. To this day I still remember important lessons she taught both inside and outside of the classroom.”

“Cat is the kind of teacher who challenges & holds her students to higher standards while actually giving them the support to achieve them. At any level, you will walk out of a Cat class capable of things you didn't even know were possible. She's also the kind of mentor who will celebrate your wins with you but hold you accountable when you're impeding your own growth. Perhaps the most impressive part about working with Cat, though, is her ability to cultivate community. No matter the class, no matter the project, the level of camaraderie created in the studio is inspiring.”

“Saying Cat was impactful as a professor was in my journey is highly inadequate. I sustained an injury my senior year that required surgery (my 6th in my career) and I was devastated thinking I was done. Cat not only allowed me to stay in her courses but helped me thrive in the performance capacity that I could produce at the time. I was enrolled in Composition and Advanced Jazz that semester. This was also during Covid restrictions so group numbers were not feasible. She helped me navigate choreographing on another person in my bubble at the time. Once I was able to bear weight in a boot she encouraged me to moved and create in the physical capacity that I had, and showed me how it didn’t have limit my creative outlet due to physical limitations. While my career now is not directly related to dance, I use the passion, focus, and creative skills I acquired and refined through her courses daily. Cat not only builds confidence in her dancers but endurance and alternative thinking. She leads with joy but in an authentic and raw manner and I have the utmost respect for her. “
